 The Nigel Brown Cookery Academy Nigel holds these exclusive classes in his own cookery school kitchen so the pleasure of cooking can be enjoyed in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. All the equipment used is similar to what is found in domestic kitchens up and down the country so whatever is learnt can be recreated in any home. Class sizes are limited to a maximum of 8 so it doesn`t matter whether guests are accomplished cooks or can only switch on a kettle, Nigel has the time to teach every guest some new skills and offer the individual attention they deserve. All the academy courses, whether they be a half day session or a full day course with lunch, are fully hands-on and at the end of the class dishes may be taken to enjoy at home. The Academy is tucked away in a Grade II listed building at the foot of the Humber Bridge. It`s easily accessible by car, roughly an hours` drive from Lincoln, Leeds, York and Sheffield. It can also reached by train, the nearest mainline station is Barton upon Humber. HALF DAY COURSES: Classes start at 9. 30am and are an excellent way to try new ideas and dishes under Nigel`s expert tuition. They are fully hands-on and include the loan of an Academy apron, refreshments, all ingredients, recipe booklet and suitable containers to take work home. The class finishes at 1. 00pm. ONE DAY COURSES: There is lots of choice here with a variety of classes to choose from. The day starts at 10. 00am with coffee and an introduction to the days recipes. Refreshments are available throughout the day and a delicious lunch with wine is included. These are fully hands-on courses and include a recipe booklet, an Academy apron and suitable containers to take home work. When Nigel`s not demonstrating his skills on stage at many of the UK`s biggest food festivals, delivering private cookery courses at his Cookery Academy, filming, radio or writing, he caters for high profile private functions and VIP hospitality he also works closely with Jean-Christophe Novelli at The Novelli Academy offering corporate entertainment and teaching specialist patisserie / cookery courses.
